The unusual nature and timing during a congressional recess of the briefing suggest it may be connected to a recent intelligence community whistleblower allegation which describes, in part, the State Departments role in coordinating interactions between Rudy Giuliani, the presidents personal attorney, and Ukrainian officials.
Obama guy
Steve A. Linick serves as the Inspector General of the Department of State. In 2013, he was nominated by the President of the United States[1] and confirmed by the United States Senate.[2]

This stinks. We haven’t heard from DOJ IG Horowitz for literally years on Obama era crimes while State IG whips something together on Trump admin in a few days/weeks.
Giuliani has the goods on the gubmint mafia family and so must be silenced at all costs. Pray he has good body guards. Barr too.
This is from ABC, fake news denizen, the basics are likely true, there’s going to be a briefing by the guy named. The rest of it was just an opinion and should be ignored. None of us, or the reporter knows the content of the briefing claiming its about anything is speculative, meaningless drivel.
IG Linick is yet another Obama appointee and holdover so you can be sure he is 100% politically reliable so expect yet another trumped up charge this time maybe against Pompeo who was allegedly in the room on Trump’s Ukraine call.
Sean Davis of The Federalist broke the story of the changing of the WB form from requiring first hand knowledge to be accepted as an urgent notice. Then the ICIG issues a 4 page letter trying to cover his ass. I suspect he’s going to try for damage control as the GOP Congressional members are now on his trail.
