Using percentage of width instead of fixed pixel width ensures this image will adapt and look good no matter the screen size or resolution.

If you specify ONLY the height, or ONLY the width, the aspect ratio is preserved.

A width of 500 is always a good size for the display, a percentage of a small original image may be too small to read. A ginormous image may still not fit on an ordinary screen at 50%.

I use width= instead of height= because it's one fewer keystroke.
