Ambitious Blacks have more opportunities in the Democrat Party than in the Republican.

African-Americans see that there are more elected Black officials in the Democrat Party than in the Republican, so they vote Democrat.

Those who live in depressed urban areas vote Democrat because the Democrats are seen as the urban party, so they vote Democrat.

Trump is going to win more votes from African-American men than Republican candidates have won for some time, so is it really a great problem to complain about?

A two party system means inevitably somebody is going to be in the other party and if the parties are competitive they will tend towards equilibrium.

You won't have everybody coming over to one party unless the other makes some really disastrous choices.

These are the blacks who claim they see no color; they claim racism doesn’t exist. They never miss an opportunity to criticize Al Sharpton. But they always seem to get a sudden case of laryngitis when a conservative says something negative or inappropriate about the black community.

This seems like a legitimate beef. It's also why I happily call fellow FReepers to task when I see stereotyping.

We should make it as easy as possible to identify as a conservative; we should make wannabes welcome.

How about Blacks simply define themselves as Fundamentalist Protestants and let that guide them?

How about everybody on both sides realize that Blacks are not foreigners, but one of the oldest population groups in the country (here before the Pilgrims)? Right now Blacks seem to think they're more alien to America than Lovecraftian non-Euclidean entities. And I'm sore more than a few whites think the same thing.
