When I heard Atkinson speak, I had no confidence in him. He sounded like a wimp and coward, and didn’t seem to know the Whistleblowers Act contents.
Time to clean another inhouse swamp.
It definitely sounded like he was out of his league. I think they led him to the conclusions they wanted—after changing the law around a bit to suit their purposes. Now any third-hand rumor submitted by anonymous whistleblowers can be ruled serious and urgent so they can brush aside presidential executive privilege.
I made a mistake when I referred to Atkinson. I was actually talking about DNI’s acting director Maguire, but Atkinson doesn’t really impress me much either.
Time to get rid of the “old” Obamites and put in trustworthy Americans.
Maybe he is just ignorant of law, and did not recognize what the lawyers were doing to him was unethical on their part. He thought perhaps they had some shred of legal basis, even though they do not.
Congress has taken advantage of his remarks, and asserted for a fact that Atkinson and the whistleblower acted in good faith. That contention is not credible.
