I started an experiment a few months ago and I can tell you what I learned:
The left owns the MSM
The right owns the internet.
The experiment:
My youtube feed naturally steers me to stuff based on what I select to watch, so I was getting connected to a lot of conservative youtube channels. And yes, when I read the comments it was virtually all conservatives agreeing with the video, often bringing their own salient arguments - with the occasional leftist calling people names. When a rare leftist did actually make a point in their comment, they were swiftly and effectively rebutted by other posters.
So I thought, gee, the opposite most be going in with leftist youtube channels. So I started watching MSNBC, CNN, Buzzfeed videos and would review the comments. It was not what I expected.
There on those leftist videos were the conservatives. But they were not calling people names. They were making points that the leftists could not counter. It was kinda shocking. And even when the leftists agreed with the video, most of their comments were simply saying things like, “You are so right”, or, “Don Lemon Rules”, or some other such nonsense. But the point is that often, almost all of the comments were by conservaitives and the leftists just kept getting their butts handed to them. The smart ones would bow out, but the ignorant or inexperienced would continue to post their ad-hominem.
Why this diatribe? The point is, we are winning the influence wars. Lefists are not stupid. For the most part they are just young. They see what I’m seeing on those comment threads. It will have an impact in the same way that lowering interest rates improves home sales. That is, it’s not a mass exodus to the right side, but it makes a difference. And I believe that in the next year it will make a huge difference.
And I forgot to mention that the MSM is shrinking in influence while the internet is increasing. That’s why Tapper’s panties are in a bunch.
And unlike Nixon, he didn’t go anywhere near committing a crime.

This is an interesting point. Trump has had leakers and all kinds of enemies around him. Trump also doesn’t have a lot of friends in Congress. He is kind of out there by himself.
