I would pay the two dollars if someone can prove that :
1) The climate can be significantly changed by reducing current carbon dioxide emissions.
2) Current levels of carbon dioxide emissions are an existential threat.
3) That my two dollars will not be used in a slush fund to finance harebrained ideological fantasies.
This is why the plan is to use the UN to setup the tax.
None of Congress needs to vote on it so none can get blamed.
Too bad we have already figured this out.
Climate-doom alarmists should put their money where their mouth is.
But the question nowadays is “Would you spend $2 of other people’s [read: Uncle Sugar’s] money per month?”
Then, for God’s sake, any cost is worth it!
How's that for enthusiasm?
Kinda like the Obama's and the Sussexes buying beachfront property while sounding the alarms that it'll all be under water in 11.5 years!
Trying to fund another government agency. Might as well resurrect Mugabe from the dead and let him run for President. This people are completely evil.
Sorry, but my $2 goes to help out a homeless animal when I pay for my dogs food.
For decades Los Angeles people have been polled as overwhelmingly in favor of mass transit including commuter trains and buses.
But only if other people would be riding in them.
They said no to giving up their own freedom to drive their own cars.
I find this very encouraging, especially since it’s coming from the post. It shows people aren’t buying the non stop BS.
CLIMAGEDDON! CLIMTASTROPHE! Or, for me anyway, Climlarky. Had about 2 inches of climate change yesterday and the temp this fine morning is 33. It was low 80s Thursday walking around Street Vibrations rally downtown. Lucky thing bikers are a tough bunch.
We got about 2 inches of wet snow in the north valleys. Kind of put a damper on Street Vibrations just a tad.
“Washington Post Poll Shows Most People Unwilling to Pay $2 Per Month Tax to Fight Climate Change”
That is not a problem. Elect a Democrat and they will use police power to just take the $2.00 - plus about another $10,000 per family per year.
I say $10,000 because I don’t think the average family will be able to pay $50,000 per year. We don’t have it.
“fight climate change”....sounds an awful like Al Gore getting yet another billion dollars.
Is Greta donating the $100,000 plus she just won to the cause ?
“Washington Post Poll Shows Most People Unwilling to Pay $2 Per Month Tax to Fight Climate Change”
Should read:
Washington Post Poll Shows Most People Unwilling to Pay $2 Per Month Tax to make AL Gore and friends richer and richer.
I am willing to pay one penny—after the oceans swallows Obama’s estate on Martha’s Vineyard!
The Post should pay us $2 every time they talk about it.
Dont worry, they will just cook up some phony polls to counteract this one. There is no issue for which a poll to make the democrats feel better about themselves cant be concocted.
Dems announce policy to throw kittens into woodchippers. Trump tweets regulation of policy!!
Two days later: ABC/Ipsos finds overwhelming support for the kitten wood chipper policy.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
It’s equally intellectual with paying $2 to make sure the Easter Bunny’s life is preserved.
