So, what is the meaning of this clause found in the U.S. Code?
A person who is found guilty of attempted mutiny, mutiny, sedition, or failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.

It’s confusing to me. I am not sure. The code is schizo. I’m good with he guilty getting a wall, a blind fold and a cigarette.

The reference to a court-martial should be a clue that the death penalty clause is part of military, not civilian law. Unless you're active duty military, any attempt to haul you in front of a court-martial would and should be met with howls of derisive laughter ... and immediate dismissal with prejudice.
