A lot of money in legalizing. Heavy taxes on legal pot, anywhere from 20-40%.

When a politician does the right thing for the wrong reasons, we should take the win.

Marijuana use causes brain damage, psychosis and schizophrenia.I call BS - let's see some evidence.
And even if all your claims were true, in the Land of the Free the most we can justly do is require accurate product labeling and leave adults free to choose their risks. Otherwise we'd have banned harmful substances like alcohol and tobacco.

I believe that states that have legalized have seen an explosion in the black market.
Why buy from the state when you can get it at half the cost?

Oh, hell. It’s another one of “those threads”.
libertarians, man. bunch of stoners.

The current rash of let’s kill vaping is being deceptive about it’s connection to marijuana. They are hiding that it’s an additive that stretches the quantity of the liquid in THC infused vaping oil that is causing the illnesses. In my humble opinion, legalizing recreational pot is a left wing wet dream that is being helped along by hiding the facts.

In legalizing states, legal pot revenues are in the billions. And even if NO legal pot were being bought, this would mean at worst a maintenance of the black market, NOT an "explosion."

Exactly. But the moronic FR dope smokers will never admit it. That's the nature of addiction.
More significantly....
The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: "From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." - Alexander Fraser Tytler (later Lord Alexander Fraser Woodhouslee), in "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic," published 1776
It's all a part of the plan. Get these fools hooked on pot to enslave them. Idiots.
