Assuming backbone, courage and decency from the GOP is asking a lot. Like a first time for everything.
One, then another will act like Romney.

Yes, the Republicans will do so for SELF preservation. They can not allow a “Republican” president to be removed for cause through impeachment.
It would be a scarlet letter pinned to EVERY Republican. They can’t allow that!
Also remember, this will be AFTER public hearings (in the House) to determine if there is sufficient cause to remove the president through impeachment.
A determination of high crimes and misdemeanors is possible because Democrats outnumber Republicans, but will they do so? Will they just want to “stop the bleeding”. Will they want to suffer again through a Senate trial?
ALL THE DIRT about Democrats and the Obama administration will be exposed. Could they survive that? Would they risk it?
I say NO! All this impeachment talk is just that “TALK”. They won’t dare to impeach President Trump. They would be indicting THEMSELVES in the process.
Just the “THREAT” of impeachment, all the “discussion” about impeachment, is just trying to damage Trump and maybe cost him votes. ACTUALLY impeaching him would be a YUGE mistake, back firing on the Democrats.
