According to his Linkedin profile, Bakaj was an intern at the U.S. State Department from June 2002 to August 2002 at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine. He, “Created the Embassy’s fraud database, performed various counter-fraud duties, interviewed visa candidates, translated official Ukrainian/Russian documents into English, and represented official U.S. interests at various events throughout Ukraine.

In normal criminal trials the defendant is entitled to be confronted with the witnesses against him and to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor (Amendment VI to the US Constitution).
But we have seen that the justice system in the US no longer believes in the Bill of Rights or basic fairness (as in cases where exculpatory evidence is withheld from the defendant), so we can't assume that Article VI applies to President Trump.
