Border Entry Point

Lines 1-4 US citizens only
Line 5 US citizens, valid visa holders
Line 6 US citizens, valid visa holders, US approved asylum claimants with officially stamped approval forms and picture ID
Line 7 unapproved asylum claimants[with just one asylum screening officer]

Imagine coming north from Tijuana.

One walks past the San Ysidro paperwork building, then into a covered area with lines each staffed with a USCIS officer.

Unapproved asylum claimants should be instructed to wait in another line at the paperwork building served by several asylum screening officials.

US citizen only areas and lines should be cleared marked.

Better long lines stretching far into Mexico than having to pay $50,000/year/illegal for detention.

At Gatwick Airport, there were two screening areas when I was there in 2016, one for EU/UK citizens and one for other persons like Americans.

US citizen only areas and lines should be clearly marked.

My proposal meets the requirements of US law.

The arrangement of border entry facilities is up to executive discretion.
