A federal court ruled in favor of a faith-based adoption agency and Chad and Melissa Buck, parents of five foster children with special needs, late Thursday, in a HUGE WIN for religious freedom and families.
On Thursday, the court said the States real goal is not to promote non-discriminatory child placements, but to stamp out St. Vincents religious belief and replace it with the States own. Thankfully, the ruling means St. Vincents can continue to operate as litigation continues...Working with the state to pair children and families in need, St. Vincents was one of Michigans most successful adoption and foster agencies.

Thank you! We were left helpless after that last election.
Some context for all. The Rats loaded the November 18 ballot with 4 high rat turnout ballot initiatives. As a result we lost the Governor, the SOS and the AG. The AG is a leftist Radical Lesbian. During lame duck the Michigan legislators passed a bill that would limit the damage the new AG could do. On his day in office the Rino Governor vetoed it. As is the case the GOPe always bring marshmallows to a gunfight.
Ive been saying for a long time that liberal progressive laws ARE religion based and one of the dogmas is to stamp out Christianity.
Thanks. That is EXACTLY it. Putting the marijuana initiative on the ballot brought out all of Ann Arbor.
Great characterization!!

When was the last time Michigan had an actual, real Republican governor?
Michigan has been on life support since the 1980s. Great State it is sad.
Think how great it would have been if wed elected Pete Hoekstra, a real conservative.
I am convinced that Catholic doctrine on “what marriage is,”-— the permanent, faithful, fruitful union of a man and a woman as the foundation of a family -— lines up beautifully with Natural Law. “Revealed” law and “Natural” law have the same Author. It’s not just in the Bible: it’s in our bodies and the marrow of our bones.
Adoption is not based on adults’ wants, but on children’s needs. Nobody comes into this world as a result of the union of two gay men, or with a need to be raised by two gay men (or lesbians).
I am not arguing that there are not warm, responsive, responsible and committed homosexual people out there who could in many ways care well for children. I am, however, convinced that children have a real need for a real man and a real woman to nurture them and guide them to be well-grounded individuals.
Kid available for adoption have already suffered a grievous primary loss. They deserve to have that loss repaired as far as possible, with a loving adoptive mom and dad.
