Major League Baseball just hired an Indian (dot, not Cleveland) VP of Technology. Indian (again dot, not Cleveland) resumes are flooding in.
MLB had a previous policy of not hiring H1Bs, though a few H4EADs were hired. I guess that policy is revoked now.
Wonder if Americans will be able to work in Americas Game anymore.

There is no supply AT THE WAGES WE ARE OFFERING.
We do not offer wages. We interview then make offers at prevailing wage for the role and experience level. There continues to be the incorrect notion that we pay H1B's less. We don't, we can't- by law. And are audited QUARTERLY to ensure we are paying equally.
For a recent position, we got 186 applicants. 3 were US citizens- 6-figure salary.

"Prevailing wage" means nothing. You business types want to treat labor as a commodity yet won't pay for it like a commodity. So what is the "prevailing price" of oil? There is none. It CHANGES EVERYDAY.
What we have is spoiled "business class" used to bullying Americans and putting them in competing with third worlders. Screw you guys. I hope you go out of business. Get a real job.

Whoa, while I'm on your side when it comes to getting rid of h1-b and other programs... gotta understand that some people may really be having an issue getting people. Since they aren't advertising salary, that doesn't appear to be the issue with only getting 3 US based applicants.
Without knowing more, I would still speculate that US based applicants are being thrown out before they reach him. The market IS tight for full stack devs. But I don't understand how a top notch employer could have an issue when I know of some really crappy employers getting applicants. Maybe they have a bad rep in the area due to past policies (like my former employer that can't get people after their over 40 and white male pushout).
I do know that full stack is in big demand in North Dallas. Top 100 in Dallas: JLL? Raytheon? American Airlines? Exxon? If you give me a hint I may be able to give you feedback why you aren't getting applicants or perhaps if there is a known HR screening bias that could be blocking applicants. I live in Allen, TX. I probably applied to the company and can give you some info. I'm not actively looking now, but I spent two years doing so and have tons of experiences with bias. I was even told by one internal recruiter that "We don't need any more middle aged white men... sigh." Just one example. Many more...

In 1994 I was paid $90,000 ( adjusted for inflation it would be $155,000 ) a year plus FULL benefits to develop applications in C and C++. I received a $5,000 sign on bonus and would get $5,000 for everyone I could recruit. I pulled in 3 guys from my former employer. So in 1994 before I even started I received a check for $20,000 ( minus taxes ) on day one. Does that happen no-a-days? Hell no. We have spoiled management class that thinks they call the shots and have right to set wages. F them. Labor is like oil, the price changes daily. Treat people like commodities then pay them like commodities.

They absolutely aren't, because I get tons of applicants that are folks like "Salesmen" with no IT experience of any kind for these jobs. Within Workday I can see every single applicant.

Red flags for hiring folks. I never even got a chance to explain why I was laid off. It occurred after a short medical leave for a bad concussion (occurred at home while moving into new house). No reflection on my capability but may be a reflection of the person I was working for...
So, now I'm tainted and doing my own thing. I was only granted one interview in two years... with SpaceX of all companies. I find that pretty amusing. I was not good enough for all of these normal companies, but SpaceX gave me a shot.

True. Telling the Indian interviewer you are an American citizen is usually a interview-ender
As was refusing to answer pre-interview questions such as full birth date, full social security number, and other information ripe for identity theft.

Yeah, only companies to grant real interviews to me was a VR company in Hong Kong, Huawei, Pratt & Whitney and MLB. Im now 6 months with baseball.
Not a single Indian-run big tech company (Microsoft, Facebook, Unity, Google, Boeing etc) did I make it past the screening interview. A vast majority of the time I couldnt even understand the Indian recruiter. It was a lot of me asking can you repeat the question? Or 10 years of experience required for something only in existence for 5...

Yep. They do indeed discriminate. The company I was with for a decade (prior to the concussion company) hired an Indian CEO. Several years later there are now only a handful of non Indians in tech and they are also taking over other departments quickly. I have a friend still there and he told me that they've only hired one non Indian in IT in two years... and it's a huge company.
To be fair, in my personal experience ... I think my biggest issues are 1) a short tenure at last company (due to the accident/medical), 2) being over 40 (age discrimination is a fact of life in tech) and 3) Intimidating hiring managers with my background (may be why SpaceX was confident enough to interview me... they LIKE rocket scientists)
