I told my wife to take the day off. She takes the Somali trolley and a bus to get home and she goes right by the Target Center. There will be massive protests going on that day.

Sounds like a good plan. Traffic would probably be crazy even without protests.

Stay safe! Both of you.

Is it safe to take the Somali trolley? Has she had any unpleasant incidents?

I think I took that Somali trolley back in 2012 when my husband and I were in Minneapolis for a few days in 2012 (he had to go there for business).

Is that the light rail train that goes from the airport and Mall of America to the Minnesota Twins' Target Field?

Visiting Minneapolis was an eye-opening experience. For some dumb reason, I was expecting to see nearly the same Minneapolis from the 1970s Mary Tyler Moore TV show. The city itself (with the MTM statue) was kind of run down and full of bums and Muslims.

Somali (and other) Muslims were *everywhere*. Saw several women in full burkas... just those eyes staring out at us. I've been to many big cities in the US... never saw that before. Thought I was in Dearbornistan, Michigan or something.

What was nice were some of the suburban areas, the upscale area around the "Mary Tyler Moore house", and inside Target Field. Saw some nice areas in St. Paul as well. Didn't see any Muslims or bums in those places.
