Hmmmm, I didn’t see it that way. Number one....he pushed over and over that the Dems are doing NOTHING but circus acts, and he isn’t going to help them....by bringing it to the Senate.
I think that’s politically smart. Right now, the House Dems look like they have lost their minds because they can’t make their crap stick. I think giving them a second line of attack, through the Senate, might give credence to their propagandist claims.
Second, I think he, like Trump, is playing poker, not hopscotch, like the Socialists. Bluff through til you see their hand, and then beat it.
While Graham hasn’t been my favorite actor, in Washington, he’s recently grown a backbone. I don’t know if it’s because he finally has a President ready to rumble and that’s sparked him up......or if it’s an understanding that the Republican base has changed..... and he had better step up his game or he’s out of a job.
How has Graham substantively supported POTUS? Kavanaugh’s confirmation was simply doing his job as committee chair. He gets no credit there.
Isn’t it amazing how it’s always the best route for the GOP to do nothing. They sure are good at that. How did that work for the GOP during the midterms?
What’s going on here is the Dems and their media allies are setting a narrative. The GOP is in the minority in the House and have no power there. Therefore, its incumbent on the GOP Senate to support POTUS on this. This isn’t rocket science. All the Senate GOP need to do is to validate Trummp’s concerns and subpoena Biden Jr. He will fold like Mueller did and all this nonsense will go away.
If the GOP Senate sit on the sidelines this saga will drag on for months and paralyze the beltway. I wish it was different but it is what it is.
