At a minimum, she unjustly killed a man. An unarmed man in his own home, which she illegally, even if mistakenly, entered. That is clearly “criminally negligent”, and thus, at a bare minimum, Criminally Negligent Homicide.
But then the purpose of police investigating one of their own is rarely to prove them guilty. Pretty bizarre that a witness called by the prosecution would tell the defense that he didn’t believe the defendant committed a crime?
To add, is there a single freeper that believes if it were “joe six-pack” citizen who accidentally walked into the wrong apartment and shot a man sitting on his own couch, watching TV and eating a bowl of ice cream, Texas Ranger Sgt. David Armstrong would say “he committed no crime”?
