The new leader of Democrats in the Senate says Donald Trump is being "really dumb" for picking a fight with intelligence officials, suggesting they have ways to strike back, after the president-elect speculated Tuesday that his "so-called" briefing about Russian cyberattacks had been delayed in order to build a case.
"Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Tuesday evening on MSNBC after host Rachel Maddow informed him that intelligence sources told NBC news that the briefing had not been delayed.

THIS is what needs to happen eventually. The question is not if but when at the rate we are going. Any sense of decency, order, honor and lawfulness is about gone so that leaves only repercussion to bring things back in line.

Schumer was reporting on what the deep state spies in CIA and NSA can do to an uncooperative politician. He didn’t commit a felony by warning Trump about the intelligence services. Yes, he should have expressed outrage, but he’s probably afraid of them too. They bug every phone cal in DC so they have a lot of dirt on members of both parties

Maybe so but like the weather I don’t think any of us will be able to fix the time. These things have happened before. Matches flare and fizzle then one finally flares into a conflagration and spreads. It will take a lot for retribution to flare across the nation from a Battle of Athens type event.
I struggle to see how we can continue as we are. I am torn, I don’t want to see what needs to happen happen because we will not come out the other side with a fairy tale ending. It will be a struggle to rebuild if we do rebuild and don’t get conquered while we are weak. On the other hand, I want to see some resolution instead of the death by a thousand cuts we are living now. If it is to come it would be better to get it over with, the better to start the building instead of this self-destruction.
The wrecking ball must be first used then we rebuild.
