First, the information could only be obtained by a spy and it would be illegal for the spy to listen in on US citizens.
Second, the President is exempt from the whistleblower law.
Third, the spy must be a double agent to disclose this.
Fourth, the person filing the complaint heard of second hand. Whistleblower status is for first hand info only.
Finally, what Trump did was not illegal. What Biden did was illegal.
The “whistle blower” is not a “whistle blower”. The whistle blower statute does not apply to actions of the president. This person is a criminal.
The DNI counsel and they have have stated clearly that this DOES NOT fall under the classification criteria of “whistleblower”.
President Trump, don’t hold your breath waiting on Bagpipes Barr

In addition to the good points you make, this person does not meet the requirements of the Intelligence Whistle Blower Protection act: The person he is reporting on is not in the Intelligence community of departments — the President.
He is therefore not a Whistle Blower but a Leaker and should be referred to on that basis.
