U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)- On Monday morning, 16 September, at about 4 a.m., a gunfight erupted at the end of the cul-de-sac of White Oak Ct. SE, in Conyers, Georgia.
According to reports, three masked intruders approached three residents of the home. One of the intruders produced a handgun and fired shots at the residents. Then numerous shots were fired. At least one witness described it as an exchange of shots.
During the gunfight, the three masked intruders were all hit. One died at the scene, two others were fatally wounded and died at the hospital. From www.cnn.com:
Another neighbor ran out to help after he heard what sounded like five shots from a handgun, he said.
Then I heard somebody have an assault rifle, Carlos Watson told WSB. And it was a slew of shots that came out.
The homeowner, a man reported to be about 50 years old, called 911 immediately after the gunfight. Neighbors say he owns a semi-automatic rifle. From wsbtv.com:
The homeowner who shot the masked intruder is a man. Neighbors say he's a truck driver who owns a semi-automatic rifle and is highly protective of his mother.
I talked to a retired police officer. He said his first thought, on reading of the gunfight, was the homeowner had a shotgun or a semi-automatic rifle. He opined it was very likely the demise of these three young men prevented hundreds, if not thousands of future crimes.

Details are slowly coming out as the police continue to investigate.
Thats what I call a happy ending.

You do not get to attempting armed robbery/home invasions at 4 a.m. all at once.
It takes a while to develop that mind set.
Those young men could have made good citizens/soldiers, with decent role models, schooling, and patriotic education. Learning about Jesus would have helped a lot.
Thanks for the tip.
If you see more information, please let me know.
I'm guessing different baby daddies.
So it appears.
The ACLU is probably working up a case against the homeowner as we speak.
Hmm. I wonder if the holes in the three deceased were made by three different weapons.
The media, and the gun controllers all concentrate on getting the mis-labeled, lawfully obtained firearms away from the responsible owners, but never talk about the perps' sources of supply.
I bet there is a grassy knoll behind the house.
Will do.
Ill see some folks from my local PD later, will ask if theyve heard anything. Probably not, the incident was a good ways across town.
Registered???
Only Class 3 firearms require registration in GA ;-)
There was a column in the AJC that talked about some of the mothers/grandmothers of the deceased meeting with some political figure. There was no mention of dads/grandads.
Just an observation . . .
I agree in principle that these boys couldve become something. I also agree the Holy Spirit can render amazing changes in a willing soul but Im also coming to believe that these teens and the millions like them are broken mentally. When behavior modeling in fatherless homes includes other dysfunctional norms, their brains become wired in those directions and then get worse from there. Rehabing that behavior, those things they missed, is a long uphill battle and a mammoth effort that few understand and even fewer can give. Thats why severely dysfunctional people and Muslim immigrants turn on the very benefactors who extend a measure of kindness, IMO. Psychopathic, destructive behavior is all they know.
Suspect there is a lot more to this story than a simple home robbery. This homeowner was awake and with two other men in his house when the teens tried their caper. 4:00am is about the time a drug crew would be tabulating the proceeds from sales from the &:00pm to 2:00am shift. The “teens” may have worked with them in the past or knew what was happening and tried to pull a Sopranos inspired stunt.
I think I agree with the intent of your post (accurate and truthful reporting?) but respectfully disagree with three of your specific points.
In many (most?) parts of the country, firearm registration is NOT required, and reporting that a gun used by a homeowner was 'unregistered' would suggest to many readers that it was an illegal firearm.
In many (most?) parts of the country, a family member or friend is not prohibited from using your firearm. Stating that a gun that was used in self-defense was not owned by that person, might suggest that the person defending themselves had comnitted a crime.
Finally, the specific make and model of a firearm can be difficult for even an 'expert' to determine, and is often completely irrelevant...
I’ve noticed the Left is slowly moving from evil “assault weapons” to evil “semi-automatics” in their hysteric rhetoric. That encompasses a lot more weapons than AR-15s.
What exactly needs investigated??
I find all this “INVESTIGATING” all over the place, A JOKE!!!
98% of the time, it’s pretty glaringly obvious what went down and how!!
