You obviously do not work in IT or have friends that work in IT or have kids graduating from STEM or engineering programs. If you did, you would know and appreciate the problem.
Actually, I am in the field. Good IT and engineering workers are hard to find. Those that want to work can find a job today. Like most occupations, the sliding scale of salary depends on experience, ability and desire to work hard. What jobs do you think are yours by birthright?

Indians operate as an ethnic gang.
There is a lawsuit against Intel right now by a Korean (!) who was turned down for employment there after interviewing with all Indian managers.
EVERYONE in the Bay Area knows about them. The H1B outsourcing companies are based in India and have no intention of letting anyone else into the little game. Anyone complains, they scream “Racism!”. Probably a gig John123 would approve of.
They cooperate with other Asians - mainly Chinese - when necessary to block Americans from companies and jobs. In addition, ALL of them are listed as qualified minorities in federal regulations - so the companies get diversity points for hiring them over Americans, and they get PREFERENCES in things like federal contracting and financial guarantees.
This has been going on since the early ‘90s when H1B first started. Result: you can drive through entire sections of Sunnyvale, Saratoga, Cupertino and San Jose and see only Indians and Chinese. An H1B qualifies them to bring the immediate family and the spouse gets a work visa as well - little point that they always forget to mention.
Once the Green Card comes through the entire extended family starts coming: all you see in the evening now are elderly Indians walking the streets of the South Bay, people who use our Social Security system without ever having paid anything into it, having no ties to our country, nothing: just their lust for our wealth and land.
And one thing no one gets: their desire to rule us. Remember they were ruled by the British for almost a century. Taking jobs and electing Indians to write laws for white people is “payback” for that in their minds - they equate Americans with the British. That’s why the Ro Khanna was elected: nothing “American” about the guy.
The land and the jobs are for Americans. And being “American” doesn’t mean you just stepped off a 767 from Mumbai yesterday.
End ALL “guest worker” programs, they have brought millions of hostile aliens to our country and destroyed the dreams and livelihoods of our people.
