So glad somebody remembers the comptometer!

Like I said granddaughter was amazed.

Remember the Bomar brain?

Yeah my company, Webster Electric, part of AT&T, knew they had toget away from comptometer sand I was the first to get a calculater! Indeed it cost over a thousand bucks per my aging memory!,

Funny met someone who’knows a comptometer!

We must be of similar vintage. I remember using old electromechanical calulators from Friden (and others)

And then a professor did a deal with Wang and we got some of their early models with Nixie tubes and card reader for programming

I used to borrow one of these from the company accounting office to do my numerical methods homework assignments.
