That all makes sense. But, I think bray is concerned about not cleaning out underbrush which ignites and spreads fires everywhere which is normally done by reputable forest land owners.

Once again thanks for all you NN and others do on our hurricane threads it really means a lot to many of us.

Yes, and I agree with that. The 2017 fire he referred to came after the very wet winter of 2016-17. The deadly wine country fires spread rapidly across grassland (in addition to overgrown forest). You can see the pictures from 2017, for example the Round Barn was ignited from grass

By 2018 the excess growth from the 2016-17 wet season was in the brush and trees so we saw deady Paradise fire caused from forest overgrowth. Those were private lands that burned and they were well-maintained. However the ember storm from nearby state land was overwhelming.
