Ukrainian official denies Trump pressured president

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has denied reports that President Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's son.

"I know what the conversation was about and I think there was no pressure," Prystaiko was quoted as saying in news outlet Hromadske.

"There was talk, conversations are different, leaders have the right to discuss any problems that exist. This conversation was long, friendly, and it touched on a lot of questions, including those requiring serious answers,” he added.

He also blamed "misinformation" and "evil intentions" for "speculations" that Ukraine would have preferred Hillary Clinton to be president.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Trump repeatedly urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Biden during a July phone call. Trump reportedly told Zelensky to work with his s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani on the matter about eight times.

Trump's communication with Ukraine came under scrutiny after an intelligence whistleblower filed a complaint regarding the situation.

The U.S. president on Friday told reporters that his contact with foreign leaders is "always appropriate."

“I have conversations with many leaders. It’s always appropriate. Always appropriate,” he said. “At the highest level always appropriate. And anything I do, I fight for this country.”

Trump should confirm he asked at least 8 times, and likely as many as 8 dozen times. So what? Shouldn’t crimes be investigated? Should criminals be prosecuted? What’s the point of your accusations media? Are you angry a possible crime is being investigated because it involves a Dim?

People really miss the bigger picture. Almost everyone in politics actively has been using the system to enrich themselves, family, and friends. How dare Trump threaten them all in every crack and crevis in the swamp?!

Valid point. One can go and ask about the children of every single Senator....to find at least ten of them uniquely unqualified for the jobs they hold, and paid money for favors.

Trump knows. He has had to pay out the influence money to the politicians bag-men for decades. His story is uniquely a both sides qualified for truth be told.

That's why Nadler hates him so much. There were some bad personal dealings between Trump and stomach banded fat boy Nadler.

POTUS asking for an investigation into something Biden bragged about on tape is a scandal.

Hillary paying for a foreign spy to obtain from Russia a tissue of lies to undermine POTUS is a yawn.

Are we sensing a pattern here?

Is asking for an real investigation into what would be a real international crime of bribery and intimidation, a real abuse of power, by Biden in his capacity as an elected leader of the US, some how construed as pressure? Only if you look at it through the distorted lens of a toxic leftist world view. These corrupt media people are irredeemable.

That's one of the reason Trump carries a pocket full of cash to this day.

He always has been a big tipper and knows the value of grease:)

Before I get my stones busted, it is a yoke.

In the Ad game hits equals eyes on whatever you put in front of them and they hope means you will fall in the trap and buy something

That is how the system works

Perhaps, but it doesn’t fit the narrative.
