Frederick is not the kind of place where you expect such things to happen. We did not go to the fair this year because we have other, pressing things to do, but would have liked to have gone. As my son said, the victim could have been any one of us.

Me too. Went to go see Styx a few years ago. I'm NOT missing Octoberfest next week! Though I will have my situational awareness on high alert.

Went to go see Styx a few years ago.

We crossed paths! I also enjoyed Styx... didn't see them because we didn't have tickets, so we sat on a bench outside the stadium and listened. I really wanted to go this year, after I heard that Lone Star was playing. But we had other commitments, so no time for the fair.

My son is listening to some commentary on the Frederick incident on YouTube. Apparently, the young thugs approached the victim and asked him for a dollar, then started harassing him when he did not give it to them. He yelled back, said a word that I can't post here, one of them hit him and we know the rest. So, be wary of any teens asking for money and be really careful in any case.
