Judge orders Trump to testify in trial over 2015 protest outside Trump Tower

A New York judge on Friday ordered President Donald Trump to provide video testimony as part of an upcoming lawsuit brought by protesters who say they were assaulted by Trump's security guards during a 2015 protest outside of Trump Tower.

Judge Doris M. Gonzalez wrote in her ruling that Trump's testimony is "indispensable" to the trial and so he must provide video testimony before the trial is set to begin Thursday. The Washington Post first reported the judge's ruling.

The trial centers around a protest in September 2015 in front of Trump Tower in New York City where two protesters wore parody Ku Klux Klan outfits to protest Trump's rhetoric on illegal immigration, according to the initial court filing.

It's guilt by association. One of the security guards supposedly bopped a KKK dressed protester outside of Trump tower. The guard KNOWS Trump, and Trump wasn't there, so no he can't be forced to testify on guilt by association. .Heres the story:

The lawsuit brought by five men who describe themselves in a complaint as "human rights activists" alleges that Trump's head of security, Keith Schiller, hit a protester, Efrain Galicia, in the head after Galicia tried to stop Schiller from taking their large cardboard signs, which read, "Trump: Make America Racist Again." The filing says that when Galicia tried to hold onto one of the signs, Schiller ripped it away from him, tearing it to pieces.

When Galicia tried to prevent Schiller from taking another sign, he says Schiller hit him with "a closed fist on the head with such force it caused (him) to stumble backwards."

In his sworn testimony, Schiller claims the protesters and their banners were a threat to public safety because they would have impeded an ambulance from responding to an emergency in the building. Schiller says Galicia grabbed him from behind prompting him to swing around and hit the protester with his "open hand." Schiller says he believed the Galicia was attempting to grab his gun and thus used the "minimal amount of force to get him off of my firearm and off of my body."

Schiller said in his deposition that Trump was inside Trump Tower the day of the protest and was giving a press conference when the demonstration started. The plaintiffs argue the President had control over his security's actions because they are his employees, even if Trump himself did not order them to act.

In a separate filing, Trump's attorneys characterized the plaintiffs' motivations as political and argued that "Trump did not strike or touch any of the plaintiffs or take plaintiffs' sign from them. In fact, the President was not even in the vicinity" of the incident outside of Trump Tower. Gonzalez soundly rejected that argument Friday, writing that "no government official, including the Executive, is above the law." (Unless he or she is a democrap) .

Schiller's ties to Trump date back to the President's time as a private citizen and television personality. After his inauguration, Trump tapped Schiller as director of Oval Office operations, a position he left in September 2017.

Trump just doesn’t show up. And the security guard loses the case...that’s the worst case scenario.

Mexican protestor Galicia who had his sign taken away by Trump security is shown on video following the guard, and grabbing him from behind, whereas the guard turned and slapped Galicia. Galicia was the first to make physical contact by grabbing the guard. So why is President Trump being ordered to testify? He didn't witness the actual event. This is just another a-hole NY City Judge trying to throw their weight around. These morons invaded Trump's property. Galicia is lucky all he got was a slap for his stupidity.

The Washington Post reported: "Galicia also said he would be pressing charges but as of Thursday evening, the NYPD had received 'no formal complaint.' "

The moron decided to try to make some money off of his moronic behavior instead by suing.

After the incident, The Daily Mail Online reported: "A Trump spokesman also issued a statement to Daily Mail Online, writing: 'The protesters outside Trump Tower, many of whom were dressed in Klu Klux Klan outfits, were harassing people on the street. A member of the Trump security team reacted, but only after first being attacked from behind and assaulted. The authorities were contacted immediately, a complaint was filed and we will be pursuing legal action against this individual.' "

"Well - Clinton was a sitting president and to some, the Paula Jones case was stupid and trivial...and he still had to give testimony. So - it's not unheard of. "

Clinton was the perp. Donald Trump wasn't even involved in the toss-up...didn't even observe it.

It makes no sense. It like if the same thing happened at a Hilton hotel and the guard knows one of the Hiltons. Would that Hilton have to testify in an issue that didn’t involve them? Judge is thinking she’s a big thing ordering the President to bend to her. She’ll be in for a shock when Trump tells her to FOAD and then do something about it!

That’s why Trump not showing up would be the way to go.

The jury will decide in the end not the judge.

Clinton was directly involved; he was the perp. Trump was NOT directly involved. The security guards were. Question them. This is merely petty harassment of the POTUS by a bitchy female judge who doesn’t know proper protocol. Hopefully she will learn it the hard way.

What a joke. She can’t hold a job either. First job for a firm 6 years, second 1, third 1, fourth 1 then she finally got a patronage job and stayed with the local gubment until elected.

Trump can tell him to piss up a rope.

A crowd it would draw to see Judge Doris M. Gonzalez doing that trick.

President has nothing to do with this.

Is the Mayor of Portland Oregon responsible for the Antifa vandalism???

These judges are air heads without the pleasant personality.
