I actually do not have a dog or pony in this freak show. Cigarettes are obviously worse than vaping devices in almost every measurable way except that we do not know what totally untested substances being vaped are doing to the bodies and minds of millions of new customers. The vaping device itself is obviously almost completely harmless. It is the witches brew of crap people are being sold to put in them that might or might not be harmful depending on what it is.
It makes one chuckle when people have no problem when the government shuts down and seizes all the assets of farmers selling unprocessed milk. But the same people are against any regulation on chemical compounds being sold for people to inhale through a delivery system that goes almost directly into the users blood stream. Why don’t we have preloaded syringes for sale at any place that wants to sell them. Other than a slightly increased risk of infection from users who do not properly clean the injection site... it is the same thing. And millions of diabetics have demonstrated that not that many get infections.

I'm not against regulation to insure accurate dosing, and freedom from dangerous adulterants. I am against an outright ban of a less dangerous alternative to a substance that kills nearly half a million Americans a year.
Banning every flavor except menthol and tobacco(!) is absurd on the face of it!
