It's really telling that you can, under SF's new law, have gummy bear flavored THC vape pens delivered to your home, but any other product, with or without nicotine, is banned.

Even more entertaining is the concept to ban flavors - teen smoking is down to 6% in the latest surveys, the lowest it's ever been. But let's panic about vaping by banning anything but cigarette flavored liquids. What's next, curing teen drinking by only permitting beer flavored sodas?

And let's be clear here. 2/3rds of smokers who try to quit smoking using vape products are successful in their first attempt.

Vaping has been around for a while and is suddenly a huge problem.

We are really going through another round of prohibitionism. You can’t legislate against stupidity.

How about an “experiment” this time (this is the way it was supposed to be). If some states want to ban it fine. We can see what happens. Keep the Feds out of it.

Our federal government is so corrupt and tyrannical that whatever they do it always ends up hurting the people. Just look at the wars on terror, drugs, poverty.

I think that most Americans would appreciate wresting a little more control from our unjust and execrable federal government by allowing states to do more than picking out their State flower and motto.

What’s generating the excitement is that “popcorn lung” is showing up among some vape users. This is serious lung damage.

The suspicion is that it isn’t due to mainstream vape products from outfits like Juul. It’s likely from an oil carrier being used in some flavored vapes.

Vaping is new enough that this is the guinea pig stage for those who are vaping.

The government resents competition. It sells pot and rakes in money from taxes on cigarettes.

Ridiculous news-whore Dana Perino is calling this the "national vaping crisis."

Rich Lowry finally wrote something worth reading.

I have never vaped anything but I am guessing that some people are getting nicotine poisoning from overdoing their nicotine vaping. And they can abuse and increase their nicotine intake precisely because vaping is much less irritating and less harsh on the lungs than cigarette smoke.

Does it strike anyone else as rather odd that the only two flavors they are discussing as being allowed are tobacco and menthol?

This is supposed to discourage smoking?

The transition to "real" cigarettes from vaping would be seamless!
