__________
Good point.
I remember (as a 70 year Steeler fan) Tim Tebow playing a great game and beating the Steelers in a playoff game a few years ago.
*****
"Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas ran for 80 yards for a touchdown to win the first ever non sudden death overtime game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the AFC playoffs Sunday Jan. 8, 2012 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High."
"Tebow Mania" was alive and officially turned him into a folk hero. (He was good!)
Tebow, for example, put eyes on the screen, put butts in the seats, sold lots of merch, and all without engaging in conduct detrimental to his teams and his league.
So what does the NFL do with as asset like that? They drum him outta the league.
Do you know why I found it so easy to give up the NFL? Cuz I can’t stand the vast majority of the guys playing the game these days, both on the field and on the sidelines.
I wanted to watch guys I could admire, root for or goodnaturedly root against, guys I could like, darnit, or at least respect.
Not this collection of degenerates, druggies, abusers, backstabbers, and primadonnas.
Fans need a new league.
