After a controversial day, the Patriots released the wide receiver from their roster.
The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown, Patriots spokesperson Stacey James said. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.
The news broke Friday, just moments after Brown shared some posts on social media that indicated something was about to take place. He posted a photo of himself and Tom Brady to his Instagram page, saying, Love ya champ that was fun ! #GoWinIt #DoitforMe

This guy's not too bright, is he?
“He is now kappernicked, no one will touch him.”
There’s still the Vikings...!
Tough week, Nike Fired him along with Patriots
My guess is that around game 6, GRONK will return.
He never dissed our flag. He dissed two lying skanks. It was immature, but shouldn't cost him his livelihood. I wish him well. #Brotherhood
Interesting.
Is that supposed to be english?
Maybe he can become a brain surgeon or rocket scientist if he’s not playing football?
Who would hire him with 2 sexual assault law suits pending??????
15 MILLION up in smoke...
Good one.
Obviously, The New England Patriots are a bunch of racists....
I’m guessing that a lot of business people and politicians have people that write their social media stuff. Sounds like this might be an opportunity to enlarge the market for good twitter writers.
I saw where Russell Wilson had tweeted Drew Brees. It wasn’t the actual text - but a report on the tweet. In it Wilson wrote “Hope you heel quick!” I sure hope that was a typo by the reporter and not Wilson. Although I guess with auto correct it is easy to do. BUT - that is why they need twitter writers.
Hmm. Follow some millionaire around all day to do all his tweets? Might be a good gig for a twenty-something.
He can become sports correspondent for cnn...
He uses his mouth prettier than a twenty-dollar whore.
Do not know. The only reason I even looked at this thread is because I was wondering why it was actually considered news. As far as I'm concerned every professional sports team in the nation could disband tomorrow and I wouldn't give a single damn.
Pats are now off the hook for $14 million in 46-man active roster bonuses. He will definitely get paid for 2 weeks. His 2019 salary is fully guaranteed but it can be voided because of behavior. Pats have not paid Brown any of his signing bonus.
Did the Pats take out “scumbag” insurance? If not are they still obligated to pay his salary?
