A team of scientists from 19 countries will set off for the Arctic on Friday, aiming to freeze their ship into the polar ice for a year to research the changing climate.

Um, how do they expect to get their ship stuck for a year? They're gonna go there this weekend, sail around until they get stuck in what, October/November, but then what? They'll unfreeze in spring! They're only gonna get maybe five months frozen in the ice, not a whole year...

LOL! Well yeah, that would kind of be contrary to their goal wouldn’t it. To succeed they would have to declare that despite their best efforts, they were unable to become stuck. :-)
