Pull quote:

“Folks say they didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the party left them.”

I believe Ronald Reagan once said the same thing.

That is exactly what Reagan said.

The Dems have become ever more Leftist since the 1930s. Oh, every once in a while, the guy on top moves a bit more to the center - for the campaign - like Carter and Clinton. But every other time, the platform is more and more Leftist.

At the same time, as time passes there is more and more evidence that Leftist politics don’t work at all, not unless what they are supposed to do is to wreck societies and impoverish the very people that they are supposed to be helping. Not just overseas, but also in our large cities, most of which have been ruled by the Leftists for over 50 years.

That bastion of Left-wing politics, California, is hemorraging people, due to ultra-high taxes on income and gasoline, stifling regulations that destroy businesses, policies that encourage the leeches of society to keep having babies and keep on leeching and policies that encourage the homeless to stay homeless, drop their needles wherever and take a dump wherever - and, yet, somehow the conservatives or Republicans are to blame. Well, people just aren’t buying what these Leftists are selling...so they’re doing the only thing that they know how to do, which is to double down on their failed policies of envy, hatred and the collective over the individual at all times and at all costs. This only makes it worse for them...but let’s not interrupt them, shall we?
