Charlie is about as sleazy as they come. There was an episode of the beverly hillbillies in which mayor Hogg of Bugtussle was known as a great orator. The reason was he stole his lines.
Crist did the exact same thing. He stole a really good one from Florida Governor Sydney Catts. It was so old that very few people remembered it. He also stole one From Florida Congressman Bob Sikes.
To add injury to outrage he kept using rural homilies making himself out to be a genuine Florida Cracker. He would say something like “that dog won’t hunt”.
All the time being about the same as a Massachusetts liberal.
Catts brilliant one was: The common man of Florida has only three friends on earth, Jesus Christ, J.C. Penney, and Sydney J Catts.
Crist changed it to sears and his name.
Bob Sikes always was known as the He Coon. He represented the Florida Panhandle for something like 40 years. Well next thing now know Crist is calling himself “The He Coon”.
