I don’t want literature.
I want stories that are fun to read.
For me that really took off with the detective novels of the period between the World Wars and began to fade in the mid eighties when politics began to bulldoze its way into every genre.

Comparing the movies of the last 40 years since the end of the big motion picture studio companies, I think we are poorer for it. Whatever we may fault those companies with in retrospect, they produced many top quality pictures that are rarely matched by today’s independent system.
And the best part is they made the cattle shut their mouths. You want to be a gay communist? Marry that lesbian actress, don’t let anyone find out what you’re doing, and shut your damn mouth!

Just wait till they go after “The Wizard of Oz”. Let’s try that on for size.
The “Wizard” will be known as “The man with a Height Challenging Condition”.
The Munchkins will be known as “Little People in funny outfits by Versace”.
Dorothy will be the “promiscuous young girl who takes off on a long trip with three strange men”.
The “Cowardly Lion” will be known as the “Faggy Feline”.
The “Scarecrow” will be known as “The Plant Materials Man”.
The “Tin Woodsman” will be known as the “Destroyer of Forests”.
Glinda, “The Good Witch” will be known as the “Evil Corruptor of Young Women”.
The “Wicked Which of the West” will be known as “Maxine Waters, the Witch of the World”.
And “OZ” will be known as the “Jeffrey Epstein Democrat Party Rest Home and Brothel”
Just can’t wait to see that movie.

Too late, they already have. It is known as the Democrat majority on the House Intelligence Committee starring Adam “Schiff for Brains” Schiff and Swallowswell, among others.

Really; I see remakes of movies that weren’t particularly memorable (Flatliners, Pet Sematary) and realize they simply have nothing else - no more original ideas. Haven’t been to a theater since the last of the Hobbit movies (and they weren’t so good).
It’s one of the all-time great adaptations from page to screen, so I’m sure they will redo it just so they can take a big dump on it. The cringy shoe-horning in of diversity, queer stuff, and feminism should be fun for the whole family.
Hollywood has run out of ideas. It doesn’t really matter since they have already succeeded in their mission of making lots of money while destroying our culture.
