Way back in the dark ages, there were “reform schools” and residential facilities for “delinquent children”. There were special classrooms for “emotionally disturbed students”. There was a way to identify and deal with these broken kids. Now they are “mainstreamed” into regular classrooms, for teachers and stressed parents to deal with.
For older “disturbed individuals” state hospitals provided temporary or permanent places where these unfortunates could be treated, or at least watched and kept off the streets. We threw them on the streets for the cops and overworked social workers to deal with as “the homeless” (as opposed to the “hobos” who were really transient workers).
So the answer to all of these disruptive, disturbed, emotionally unstable, violent, criminally insane people being dumped into mainstream society is “gun control”, which makes me wonder if that was the (Cloward-Piven) plan all along.

In today’s paper there was an upbeat article about students at the “Central High School Academy” (used to be known as the Alternative School) for students who just don’t fit in normal classrooms, if you get what I mean. Anyway the students are working on an art project that involves their painting ceiling tiles that represent the problems they are dealing with. They mix paint, apply with toothbrushes as well as using finger paint to create “art’” which will be placed in the ceiling. High school students using finger paint.
