Your very welcome and thank you. I hope so too for many reasons.
“pimping death”
Funny, that’s sort of what commies say about people who support 2A.
Indeed thank you for the reminder and the history.
Good arguement!
Thanks, here are two more that point out the hypocrisy:
1) Let’s say you are indeed daring to smoke on the property.
Their security officer will come over, tell you to stop, right? If you don’t, you get your ticket right?
Well, since the smoke is so dangerous, will the VA be requiring that the officer don an environment suit before approaching you?
No?!?
They must not care about the safety of their security officers. Sounds like a good lawsuit to me!
2) So you’ve recklessly lit up a Lucky on the grounds. An unsuspecting visitor is exposed to some of the fumes.
Well, good thing they are near a hospital. Tell me, VA, how quickly does the victim have to get to the emergency room and what medical treatment will you give them for the exposure?
I volunteer at a military hospital and what I don’t get is a lot of newbies smoke. It’s seems to be almost a right of passage.
Bottom line. It is legal.
Worked at a few V.A.’s They have wayyyy bigger problems to deal with.
Rather than fix their FUBAR system, they go for the emotional ploy. That’s FUBAR on steroids.
Case close. Great post.. CS Lewis.
Very well thought out arguements. I think I will pass them along. TY!
Very true.
In my 40’s and I remember smoking at work in the office right at my desk, in waiting rooms at the hospital, as an admitted patient in designated areas as well. Waiting on a car repair, bank, in lobbies ashtrays were attached to the walls, being standard car feature, in the outdoor commons area at high school, walking through the malls, etc. Non-smoker now and I’ll admit it’s much easier to get and stay quit when there aren’t people smoking all around but there should be designated places/areas for smokers in mos places, definitely.
I agree.
