I prefer to carry concealed so if some yahoo enters a store I’m in with Intent to rob it and sees me before I see him. He might decide to take out a possible threat first.

Exactly. I never saw much point in letting everyone know that you are carrying. At best, you give up a critical tactical advantage; at worst, you end up in a box. On a ranch, fine; in your local stop ‘n’ rob, not so much.
