Mercedes Stephenson from Global News has done some excellent follow-up coverage on the arrest of RCMP Intelligence Director Cameron Ortis. Mr. Ortis is facing seven serious charges of intelligence violations including obtaining information to pass to a foreign entity. The intelligence compromise is the biggest scandal in a generation.
New evidence shows the arrest was a result of a 2018 international intelligence operation that targeted the encrypted communications service known as Phantom Secure.
A man named Victor Ramos was the CEO of Phantom Secure, an enterprise that provided encrypted communication devices to criminal agents involved in drug smuggling, money laundering and human trafficking.
Ramos was arrested by United States FBI officials in Washington State. Ramos gave the FBI information about intelligence for sale that was coming from a source deep inside the Five-Eyes intelligence apparatus. That information led to RCMP Director Cameron Ortis.
The scale of the compromise is still being analyzed. Ortis was director general of the National Intelligence Coordination Centre in Canada. In essence, Ortis was the Canadian equivalent of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence (James Clapper/Dan Coats); and had access to the most sensitive intelligence information amid the entire Five-Eyes network that includes: Canada, The United States, The U.K. Australia and New Zealand.

Just remember the Five Eyes set up Carter Paige and Flynn and Trump
Five Eyes is part of the intelligence sharing arrangement that Snowden and other whistleblowers warned us about—American spies on Australians—Australians spy on Americans—they swap data—voila—no laws violated—de facto domestic surveillance.
So somebody stole from Five Eyes—this is like stealing payroll from the Mafia!
This should raise some eyebrows.
I’m sure Clapper was doing the same here, the only difference, you get arrested in Canada. I’ll go out on a limb, he’s a prog. Progs in this country do the same when in power, give away our secrets.
And let us not forget that the FVEY program/caveat is an outgrowth of what used to be referred to as Project ECHELON, which began in the 1960s. (Wikipedia - believe it or not - and fas.org are pretty good open sources for details.)
You’re so cynical! (And correct...)
Was Ortiz’s motivation to commit treason money or blackmail??
This Canadian was busted because of work undertaken here in the USA and traced back to Canada. No wonder the Canadian press (which is about as awful as that found in the USA) is nearly silent on the issue.
Not quite. If the Obama admin and the Coup Cabal used Five Eyes to set up Flynn, Paige, and Trump (Read Spygate) they used other countries to do their spying on US citizens
There is enough of a nexus
This should make some US progressive mayors and police chiefs angry. After all their work to disarm Americans and make drug cartels comfortable here, this Canadian guy is siphoning off cartel money that should have gone to them!
If anyone wants to learn about the history of intel sharing between the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, they can go to keywords and enter fiveeyes or 5eyes.
Truman set this cozy arrangement up at the end of WWII. That way a country didn’t spy on its own people, one of the other countries spied on their people in other countries and then reported back to the original country’s top spooks.
Obama, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, and others spied on citizen Trump, candidate Trump, elected president Trump and eventually President Trump using this con game.
I see on the top & bottom
SECRET//SI//REL TO USA, FVEY
Apparently it's a new term since I was in the game.
I degaussed Jan 20, 1993 when Slick was sworn in.
Not many knew about this, even the Australian Prime Minister at one time didn’t know about it.
