Last week former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley broke the Republican cone of silence by tweeting, “This can’t continue…,” as the federal budget deficit raced past $1 trillion under President Trump.
Fear of a larger jail-break from the cult of enforced silence among Republicans about Trump’s failures is the big reason the president’s campaign officials have pushed state party officials to cancel Republican presidential primaries in Arizona, Kansas, Nevada and South Carolina.
And that fear explains why the Republican National Committee is withholding polling data on the president from GOP candidates for state and local offices.

What’s hilarious is Democrats don’t give a damn about the deficit with all their budget-busting freebies.
Why Williams thinks Republicans should care more about it, is quite telling, indeed.
Since Democrats control the House, good luck with deficit reduction.

I think a large part of Juan Williams’ problem is that socially and in the media the “Republicans” he comes across are the campaign advisers from the McCain and Romney era, the ex-Bush Administration leftovers, the neocons like Kristol, and the hired token “conservatives” like Jennifer Rubin, Russ Douthat and Kathleen Parker who really aren’t. They may call themselves Republicans but they don’t represent anyone other than a tiny slice of the party. Sure, they are continually mad and despise Trump but no one listens to them or cares what they think only as useful foils and supposed tokens who are further to the left in their criticism of Trump than the Dems.
Juan is predictably stupid. They just pat him on the head and move along, total affirmative action hire.

2: NO ‘enforced cone of silence’
3: There will be no significant Republican contested race !
4: So party efforts to select a candidate will be reduced to save money. Likely at the behest of party officials.
5: For example, Louisiana likely to be moving their primary back so that be a ‘winner take all’ primary and not a ‘proportional’ primary - to avoid the grief from last election and also because there will be no competitive Republican Race.
It’s worse than “ignorant”, he’s just plain “STUPID”.

I honestly don’t believe Juan is that stupid. In fact, I would say the things Juan says if I got paid what Juan gets paid for saying them. Juan is a self hating black guy who delights in showing us his white grandchildren at every opportunity.
Juan is the voice of nonsense. Nothing he intones with his air of wisdom has the weight of a feather. He is absolutely devoid of common sense, reveling exclusively in his anti Trump rhetoric.
