Why Williams thinks Republicans should care more about it, is quite telling, indeed.
Since Democrats control the House, good luck with deficit reduction.
Trump isn’t going to waste his time on something that has zero chance of going anywhere.
I think a large part of Juan Williams’ problem is that socially and in the media the “Republicans” he comes across are the campaign advisers from the McCain and Romney era, the ex-Bush Administration leftovers, the neocons like Kristol, and the hired token “conservatives” like Jennifer Rubin, Russ Douthat and Kathleen Parker who really aren’t. They may call themselves Republicans but they don’t represent anyone other than a tiny slice of the party. Sure, they are continually mad and despise Trump but no one listens to them or cares what they think only as useful foils and supposed tokens who are further to the left in their criticism of Trump than the Dems.
Juan is predictably stupid. They just pat him on the head and move along, total affirmative action hire.

5: For example, Louisiana likely to be moving their primary back so that be a ‘winner take all’ primary and not a ‘proportional’ primary - to avoid the grief from last election and also because there will be no competitive Republican Race.

I honestly don’t believe Juan is that stupid. In fact, I would say the things Juan says if I got paid what Juan gets paid for saying them. Juan is a self hating black guy who delights in showing us his white grandchildren at every opportunity.
Juan is the voice of nonsense. Nothing he intones with his air of wisdom has the weight of a feather. He is absolutely devoid of common sense, reveling exclusively in his anti Trump rhetoric.
