Why do Democrats barely talk about handguns despite how many annual deaths and injuries involve them in the United States, especially when compared to their obsession, AR-15s?

Oh, right, the politics of it, that over 70% of Americans oppose a ban on handguns. So Democrats don't really care about gun-related homicides/suicides, just politics.

I would argue that part of the reason is handgun crimes are overwhelmingly committed by Democrat constituents.
