I’m surprised that we even still use the word “husband”.
Why?
Well, bear with me. Wedding ceremonies changed the old statement “man and wife” to “husband and wife”, because to say “man and wife” was offensive to the feminist crowd, and implied that the man was superior to the wife.
But saying “husband and wife” ignores the meaning of “husband”. The word “husband” means a manager of the house, the head of the family, or management or overseer in general terms. What is meant by “animal husbandry”? Management and oversight of the animals.
So I figure when the feminist types learn what the word husband really means, they will compel us to abandon “husband and wife” just as they compelled us to abandon “man and wife”.
How all of this applies to homosexual marriage is above my pay grade, sorry.
