Wake up, GOP challengers: This is Trump’s party now
New York Post ^ | September 14, 2019 | Kevin Williamson

The single most important fact of Republican life in 2019 is this: The GOP is Donald Trump’s party now.

When the GOP chose Trump as its presidential candidate in 2016, traditional Republican conservatives of the Buckley-Goldwater-Reagan school were forced to consider how far they might go to accommodate the ascendant nationalist-populist movement embodied by Trump.

Some of them took a genuinely sympathetic view of Trump partisans who feel left behind by the elite-dominated politics of Washington and hoped to articulate a new class-solidarity synthesis on the right, while others cynically believed that they could simply redirect Trump and Trumpism to their own ends.

All of them miscalculated. The question wasn’t whether there was a place for Trump in the Republican Party, but whether there remains a place for the conservatives opposed to him and his agenda.

WTF are you talking about?

“but whether there remains a place for the conservatives opposed to him and his agenda.”

If you oppose Trump, you’re not conservative.

Retard.

A little while back I happen to catch Hugh Hewitt on his radio show indicating after Trump the GOP will go back to “normal”. In otherwords, nominating Bush/Romeny/McCain style RINO’s.

It was the most tone deaf idiotic comment I’ve heard yet from nevertrump morons.

For the second term he needs to establish a conservative university to train the next generation of party leaders.

He might still be able to find enough conservative faculty for Trump University. But no tenure so if a rotten egg infiltrator gets in there they can be given the boot.

That is the least educated sentence I have ever read. Ever.

The pundits will not acknowledge that we have been betrayed over & OVER by the GOP, even those touting their conservative creds. We’re tired of the status quo. I don’t know where I’ll go after Trump, but it had better be something different from the ‘usual suspects.’

What happened was a hostile takeover of the GOP by Trump.
The GOP for 30 years has been committed to making America into North Mexico.
Bush League Republicans intent on open borders and amnesty still dominate the Senate, we must replace them to MAGA.

They are awake. Problem is, they’re part of the woke class, which is globalist swamp. They must be defeated and humiliated.

The GOP goes back to the asleep at the wheel, “I am proud to work with my friends across the aisle” while the Democrats are openly communist and will be full Stalinist by 2024. That is a frightening possibility.

What does this mean Trumps party? Be honest, isn’t Trump what these elected assholes swore they would do when they got elected? If this is Trumps party, then bury the GOP with Abe!

Any "conservative" opposed to President Trump is in favor of more partisan Lefty Democrats being appointed to the Federal bench, to rule this country as unaccountable Federal judge-presidents.

That means that they're Democrats.

Us REAL conservatives have watched this FederalCommiejudge bullplop for the last three years. We like Trump.
