I wish he had waited till after the primaries to say this. It would have been great to use it against him in the general election, but now he just blew whatever chance he had to get the nomination.

I think that many, if not most of the “rational” Democrats will stay home and not attend the convention. The radical left has already threatened violence against anyone who opposes them. It seems likely that there will be a lot of violence at the Democratic convention. In the absence of dissent whatever crazy the radical left backs could easily take the nomination.

On the other hand, if it does turn out that moderation takes the convention, then the candidate will be somebody we haven’t seen making radical statements. This person will navigate to the center and be the next Bill Clinton.
