I’ve always thought that stealing should be legalized. Perhaps even encouraged. Institutionalized, in fact. Taxed and regulated, with government incentives.

It already is. It's called the "income tax".

The property tax is more like stealing. If you are a citizen, you should be able to own land in America. But instead you have to pay the government as if you’re only a renter. And you are, therefore. Government should not be allowed to own land. It’s a conflict of interest.
