I think Connecticut has learned all the wrong lessons from its next door neighbor, Massachusetts (AKA “Taxachusetts). ;-)

But that’s politicians — especially Democrat politicians — for you. They have absolutely no ability to do anything but tax, and then spend. And where’s the fun in being a politician if you actually have to, like, stick to a budget and make hard policy choices and such?

Massachusetts isn't really "Taxachusetts" anymore. Connecticut now gets the "honor" as the most taxed state in New England, as far as I know. *Many* companies and jobs have moved from CT to MA. Massachusetts is actually booming, in some respects.

Hubby and I have done some research. If we moved just 5 miles north to MA, we would save thousands each year on property, car and other taxes there compared to The People's Republik of Connecticut.

I think the 'RATs in Connecticut are getting their insane ideas from CA and NY.
