The problem is, there are enough hard-Left judges that would consider anything a substantive reason, aren’t there? Judge shopping is very popular with Leftists. I know it would be appealed, but they may be able to get a judge to order it at some point.
I have a good hunch that his tax returns are a deliberately planted wrong tree for them to bark up. They’ll get his tax returns, and find out that he used his losses from the Taj Mahal, bankruptcy and depreciation to not have to pay any taxes at all for ten years. And that’s no big deal, because even I could guess that much.
