Sen. Elizabeth Warrens (D-MA) great-great-great grandfather Jonathan Crawford served in Major William Lauderdales Battalion of Tennessee Volunteer Militia from November 1837 to May 1838, a six month time period during which it fought two battles in Florida against the Seminoles.

Two men are dressing in the locker room.
One says, “I researched my family history and I can’t find a single relative.”
The other says, “Run for mayor. The paper will trace them back to the Stone Age.”
When she said her family had Indian blood, she meant “on their hands”.....
Not to compare American soldiers in the Seminole War to Nazis, but Warren’s claims are sort of like the grand daughter of an SS officer claiming to be a descendent of Holocaust survivors. Or any Democrats claiming the high road on Civil Rights for Blacks. False History.
My family arrived in the U.S. in ‘68 on a 707, so I have no beef with your peoples’ internal squabbles.

The media allies will protect her. Meanwhile, Orangeman a threat to our democracy.
From what I have learned from actual history it seemed like folks were trying their best to just avoid Indians up until the Indians massacred almost 500 men, women, and children and then it was full scale war. From my reading both sides realized it was a real existential threat (as opposed to todays manufactured existential threat that actually harms no one) and both fought like their survival depended on the outcome, which it did. The Indians, finally lost, but it took decades.
I wouldn’t mind having such a distinguished ancestor in my family tree.
But then, I love America.

Genealogy is a funny thing. When you dig up your ancestors, you find...human beings.
The Seminoles loved their country too.
Love it! New tagline!
null and void. Sometime in the 1960s a treaty was signed between the Seminoles and the U.S. government. One week later the US government broke the treaty. One ole Seminole said “Well, they won the war with the Indians, so I guess they can break the treaties with them too” or something like that.
With Taggart as head coach, it's not much of a war.........Go Gators!
