Trump has low favorability ratings and is trailing most of his potential 2020 Democratic rivals, meaning he has quite a hill to climb if he hopes to win reelection next year.
So many lies so little time.
His whole argument is based on poll numbers. The same polls that for a year leading up to the 2016 guaranteed Hillary would win in a landslide.

Agreed. How many times and ways has it been documented that these polls over-sample democrats? The reasons are many:
1. Democrats are more likely to be home to take a survey call.
2. Many Republicans and independents are reluctant to tell a stranger that they support Trump.
3. And then most of these polls add “special sauce” by adding more democrats to the mix.
These polls serve one purpose and it is not to provide valid information. They only exist to boost democrats hopes and turnout while causing the opposite effect on the Republicans. However, with Trump, it will not work.
We ignored the poll numbers in 18 too. Santorum is weak minded IMO, but Trump’s mouth does offend many people who have grown to like much he does. Many of those same people will not vote for him because of his mouth. We Trumpers will no matter his mouth. It is worth fine tuning his speech to gather in the prissy, wavering types of possible voters. 2020 is crucial.
