How can we tell there are too many survivors in Afghanistan?

Afghanistan as a nation never surrendered to the U.S. Pakistan should have been made to surrender to us too. If I had been president on 9/11 I wouldn't have had to ask Congress to declare war. The 30 days allotted for counter-attacks would have been enough.

Neither of those countries really have much of a central leadership, as I understand it. Their central government is really just the dominant tribe. Out in the hinterlands, the local people and tribes go their own way.

In that context, getting them to “surrender” doesn’t really mean too much, at least as I understand the situation.

In Afghanistan, War lords who work with the USA have a nasty habit of raping little boys. When American service personnel who caught wind of this and stopped these bast@rds from their nefarious deeds. The US service people were Court martialed. This is who we’re working with.
