Agreed. The original attack is one thing, the reaction from leftists and the Muslim leadership is another. The Muslim leadership might have helped if they had condemned the attacks in the “severest of terms.” And not a halfhearted “we deserved it” apology but a, full sincere apology. I don't remember there being one.

The anti-Muslim backlash is a BS excuse. An apology might gone a long way to reduce the possibility of a “backlash.” Again, I don't remember there being one.
